  Nether Reset on September 1st...with a PvP twist!

On September 1st, the nether will be reset with a new seed.
The reset will also change the nether into a global PvP area.
Now when you're in the nether, you'll have to watch for minecraft's hardest mobs...each other!
Team up with friends, hunt for unsuspecting victims, or use the nether for pvp arenas.

Changes on September 1st...

-New nether seed.
-Global PvP in the nether.
-A small area around spawn's nether portal (in the nether) will be protected.
-We will not refund items lost in nether griefing. Everything in the nether is free game, including structures.
-We will not refund items lost in PvP. If you can't afford to lose it...don't bring it with you!!
-Harassing members is very against the rules. No ganging up around the spawn nether portal for cheap kills, and no harassing through chat.

(Thanks isokitten for the suggestion!) Added a plugin to make mob spawning more common, because normal mob spawning is weird. This plugin limits the amount of mobs that spawn in chunks, as well as limits the amount of farming mobs that can be bred in a chunk.

-New mob spawns should be more plentiful.
-Mob grinders/exp farms will probably see a decrease in functionality.
-The more players in an area, the more mobs will spawn! Go hunting with friends!
-Animal mob farms will need to be wider to allow for breeding. Only 30 animals are allowed to be in a chunk.
-If more than 30 animals are in a chunk and you attempt to breed them, THE ANIMALS WILL CONSUME THE ITEM AND WON'T PRODUCE OFFSPRING.
-This "overbreeding" will still give experience though.

Exp went down and payouts went up. Still trying to make this a viable job, and the mob spawning update, paired with this change, should definitely help.

Also...the ability to sit on stairs("chairs") has been added. All you need is a stair block to sit on. You can design it however you'd like. To sit on chairs, get close to the chair(within 2 blocks) and right click it WITH NOTHING IN YOUR HAND. Press shift(crouch key) to get off the chair.

Player shops are shops that are for purchase for members. Purchasing a building or plot lets you to make a shop that has a quick connection to spawn, allowing for greater exposure and ease of access to buying and selling items.


The Dream Bazaar is located northwest of spawn. Instead of walking, you can also use the "SHOP" portal in the spawn town. Go out the front of the spawn castle and you will see the portal right in front of you.

You may run around at your leisure, or you may use the warp network set up around the bazaar! Find one of the boards below and click on the location you wish to go to.

There are two types of shops available.

Premade shops: 30,000 REM
Shop Plots: 25,000 REM

PREMADE SHOPS are already built and come in a variety of designs. They have different shapes and dimensions, but they all cost the same and have their store-fronts facing the central street. Players that run these shops can change the interior to their liking, but the exterior must stay relatively untouched. These shops would do well for players who are having trouble thinking of a design to build, don't feel like building a plot(but want the freedom to design the interior!), or want to be along the central street.

SHOP PLOTS are empty plots of prime shop-land that players can freebuild their dream shop on. Players can build whatever they wish so long as it's not offensive and fits within the maximum shop dimensions of 15x15x15. This size includes one block down(the ground) and 14 blocks high. A quick visual of the dimensions can be seen below. Shop plots are located along the side streets and are a bit cheaper than the premade shops. These shops would work for a player that wants to design their shop(inside and out) and save a little REM.

Shop owners are expected to know the requirements for operating a shop. If these requirements are broken repeatedly, the shop owner may lose their ownership of the shop.
1) Nothing offensive. Keep things clean.
2) Stay stocked up. A shop that goes unstocked and inactive for a few weeks will likely lose its ownership.
3) For premade shops, only alter the interior. If your changes drastically alter the outside of the premade building, they will be reverted and you will get a warning. Small changes are fine.


- Read the SHOP REQUIREMENTS above!
- Find out what type of shop you want, and the area of your choice.
- Find the SHOP TICKET BOOTH at the market east entrance.
- Buy the shop ticket for the shop area you chose, premade or plot.
- Once you have a "ticket", arrange for a staff member to receive your ticket and they will grant you access to the shop area you desire.
- Happy selling(and/or buying)!

Anyone that logged in and joined a job helped shape the changes to balance out the Jobs and make our money, called REM, actually usable. REM amounts and jobs levels have been both reset. During the next 5 days, we will be testing Jobs payouts and structure. In the meantime, test out all there is to offer! Everything you do during these five days will help Dreamcraft reach a more stable future.

Hello Dreamcrafters!

Dreamcraft's economy is about to get a face lift! To begin that, however, we first have to start on a clean economic slate. On Wednesday 7/22/15, all players' Jobs levels and REM amounts will be reset to zero. During the period from Wednesday 7/22 to Sunday 7/26, we will be running a live-test event for the new Jobs and Pricing system. On EACH DAY, Jobs levels and REM will be checked and reset, and the THREE players who get the highest jobs levels and REM amounts on each day will be given trophies/rewards. On the night of Sunday 7/26, Jobs and REM will reset for a final time, and then everyone will be able to play as normal!

I understand that a number of players are quite attached to their current Jobs levels and REM amounts. The truth is, our economy and jobs situations are broken right now, and need a full fix. I made the current jobs details in a hurry and never really completed them, so they're only half finished and not balanced in the slightest. This was fully my fault and I apologize. 

Current Jobs and Economy outlook:
-Two jobs max, where earnings can be stacked and optimized if you pick two specific jobs.
-Only jobs for breaking and placing blocks. The other jobs may work but they are only half complete.
-The jobs that are complete have strange breaking/placing rules.
-There is no set pricing guide available, and earnings for Jobs are extremely high and unstable.
-Nothing to spend REM on (player shops don't count), so the amount of money on the server increases infinitely.
-If we add something to spend REM on right now, players that have 100,000+ could buy literal tons of what would be offered.

The NEW jobs (and economy) details are developed and maintained by a number of players that are in-touch with Dreamcraft and it will be evolving with the community. These changes will allow us to offer MANY more features to players on Dreamcraft, among those being admin shops, a player market, contracts, special events, auctions and lotteries, questing for jobs, and much more.

New Jobs and Economy outlook:
+One job max, and all jobs will have balanced earnings so no one job is "better" than the others.
+Jobs for farming, mining, enchanting, brewing, killing, crafting, and much more.
+A set pricing guide that will be maintained and adjusted by staff and members that have the community's best interest at heart.
+Jobs will have easy to understand rules and stability due to having a pricing guide to start.
+Ability to spend REM on Admin shops, player market plots, city upgrades, and more.
+A stable economy!

Our staff's goal here at Dreamcraft is making sure our members have a fantastic time in a fantastic community. Dreamcraft has been online for almost 5 years, and we're constantly evolving. The changes that we have planned will benefit everyone, from the newest guest to the oldest veteran.
