I've been sitting around with a project in my head for some time, that I haven't bothered with for some time, due to the lack of my own MC server, McEdit and quite frankly good ideas.

I am now in the process of dragging the ideas from the recesses of my mind and showing them to the world in all their glory.

General idea:
200x200 palace area, with above-ground city amenities
Subterranean, dwarf-like underground for city residents.

As far as underground goes, you can think of ornamented pillars, wide open, deep underground areas, and a lot of splendor. Think 'no expense spared'.

This project will likely take quite a long time to build, due to its sheer size, as well as the used materials. Once the total material list is published, you can expect certain materials to take a sharp spike in prices.

Since I am getting more and more excited the more I am envisioning it, here's a sneak peek at my masterwork Big Grin

I wouldn't mind giving a helping hand if I'm ever bored. Just know that I can't really get into MC(or any other videogame) for long nowadays, so who knows how long I'll end up playing. Still, I'd love to help out a bit.

I'm adjusting the OP, although it's likely going to transform as we get closer to the new map Smile

Changes for today:
- Tweaked the Subway Station floor to decrease overall complexity
- Gave the Subway Station "a new wall of paint"
- Fully implemented planned subway minecart tracks

- Added a dual Park area (see OP for a picture!)
- Revised the main gate
- Completely reworked the walls
- Revised the Palace Fountain to be much more Palace-worthy

Plans for tomorrow:
- Revising the surface component of the Central Descent, as its bulkiness is a thorn in my side
- Getting started on the actual Palace structure and connect the pathways to it

Slight update, as I have been playing Path of Exile, Far Cry Primal & The Division.

Palace is getting along nicely; main building structure is done, just needs more exterior work and an actual interior. Side wings require substantial McEdit work to put into place.

Thanks!

Fun fact: this entire build can only be built at Y ~105-140 or either the top won't fit, or the below ground portion won't be able to be dug out in its entirety Big Grin

To put it into perspective: the total Y difference between the very top and the very bottom is about 190 blocks, which is spanned across ~170 x 85 blocks Angel

This is stunning, especially with that resource pack! I'd love some advice on building a palace, I've never constructed one before, but I am going to on DC10.
Love is the key to all of creation.
