Hey guys, user Kill723 here with a suggestion for the server.

I've played on a couple of other MC servers before, and both of them have had a creative world. You couldn't transfer items between the creative and survival world, so it wasn't a way to exploit free items. It gave talented builders and pixel artists to make their work freely. It also allows survival players to test ideas (such as a redstone device, a new building style, or whatever new idea they need an open space or materials they don't have) and quickly decide if they like it or not. Unfortunately, Dreamcraft doesn't have such a world, meaning talented builders and pixel artists must collect all resources by hand, a time consuming process, and users wanting to test ideas must open a singleplayer world.

We have a PVP world that's separate from the survival world, so I would imagine a creative world is also possible. However, I've never run a server before, so it's possible I don't know something.

Cheers,

Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life, Purpose of Human Life,

Practical Explanation ( For Example ) :- `1st of all can you tell me every single seconds detail from that time when you born ?? ( i need every seconds detail ?? that what- what you have thought and done on every single second )

can you tell me every single detail of your `1 cheapest Minute Or your whole hour, day, week, month, year or your whole life ??

if you are not able to tell me about this life then what proof do you have that you didn't forget your past ? and that you will not forget this present life in the future ?

that is Fact that Supreme Lord Krishna exists but we posses no such intelligence to understand him.
there is also next life. and i already proved you that no scientist, no politician, no so-called intelligent man in this world is able to understand this Truth. cuz they are imagining. and you cannot imagine what is god, who is god, what is after life etc.
_______
for example :Your father existed before your birth. you cannot say that before your birth your father don,t exists.

So you have to ask from mother, "Who is my father?" And if she says, "This gentleman is your father," then it is all right. It is easy.
Otherwise, if you makes research, "Who is my father?" go on searching for life; you'll never find your father.

( now maybe...maybe you will say that i will search my father from D.N.A, or i will prove it by photo's, or many other thing's which i will get from my mother and prove it that who is my Real father.{ So you have to believe the authority. who is that authority ? she is your mother. you cannot claim of any photo's, D.N.A or many other things without authority ( or ur mother ).

if you will show D.N.A, photo's, and many other proofs from other women then your mother. then what is use of those proofs ??} )

same you have to follow real authority. "Whatever You have spoken, I accept it," Then there is no difficulty. And You are accepted by Devala, Narada, Vyasa, and You are speaking Yourself, and later on, all the acaryas have accepted. Then I'll follow.
I'll have to follow great personalities. The same reason mother says, this gentleman is my father. That's all. Finish business. Where is the necessity of making research? All authorities accept Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You accept it; then your searching after God is finished.

Why should you waste your time?
_______
all that is you need is to hear from authority ( same like mother ). and i heard this truth from authority " Srila Prabhupada " he is my spiritual master.
im not talking these all things from my own.
___________

in this world no `1 can be Peace full. this is all along Fact.

cuz we all are suffering in this world 4 Problems which are Disease, Old age, Death, and Birth after Birth.

tell me are you really happy ?? you can,t be happy if you will ignore these 4 main problem. then still you will be Forced by Nature.
if you really want to be happy then follow these 6 Things which are No illicit sex, No gambling, No drugs ( No tea & coffee ), No meat-eating ( No onion & garlic's )
5th thing is whatever you eat `1st offer it to Supreme Lord Krishna. ( if you know it what is Guru parama-para then offer them food not direct Supreme Lord Krishna )

and 6th " Main Thing " is you have to Chant " hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare ".
_______________________________
If your not able to follow these 4 things no illicit sex, no gambling, no drugs, no meat-eating then don,t worry but chanting of this holy name ( Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra ) is very-very and very important.

Chant " hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare " and be happy.

if you still don,t believe on me then chant any other name for 5 Min's and chant this holy name for 5 Min's and you will see effect. i promise you it works And chanting at least 16 rounds ( each round of 108 beads ) of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra daily.
____________

Hello there, with the release of 1.9 coming soon, I would like to propose the idea of certain old Dreamcraft things, such as requirements for cities, like you had to pay a certain amount of gold, and have certain things in it. K to get things started here is a list of certain things I PERSONALLY would like to see brought back.

McMmo. Yes, we already have McMmo, but the old/veteran users would know that you would just have like a default name such as now if you didn't have a job, and your name would be like that until you purchased McMmo with a certain amount of gold, I think it might've been a few blocks. With this purchase you would give your gold to a staff member who would then add a "+" to the front/back of your name, I can't remember, and this would give you access to McMmo. Again this is just my opinion, I loved the aspect of purchasing McMmo, and not just automatically having it.

Cities. Again there is a section on the forums to become a "official" city, though it's not like it used to be, I would like to propose the idea, of requirements for cities. Like the old dreamcraft, you had to pay a certain amount of gold, and have certain structures in your city, monument, farms, mine, ect. I also liked this idea very much as it gave you something to work for. Even asking to become a city took work such as, you had to get screenshots from the map showing where it is, give cords, and even from what I remember take screenshots showing that you have the buildings needed to become a city. This aspect was very cool to me, because you could be a resident of a random person's city, live in your own city, and even have a cuboid in another place. That gave three outlets of places that you could travel and do stuff always keeping the DIY aspect of Dreamcraft fresh and new. Again, this is just my opinion.

Staff. This one isn't as big of a thing, but I figured I mine as well throw it in there. as of recent I noticed tags in front of the mods names, and just for nostalgia feels I guess, and in my opinion it looked better, I propose the idea of no tags, like we used to have it. Back in DC4 or 5 I believe there were no tags except the yellow "+" mark that came with McMmo, but you would identify a staff member by the color, the color schemes were the same back then as they are now, they just didn't have the tag. Like I said I just liked the look of them back then better, but this part isn't very important.

As this source indicates, 1.9 is due to hit on February 25, 2016.

That means, as of this writing, that there are ~4 days until 1.9 hits. As we're all aware, it'll take a few days to at least a week before we'll have a server up and running with the plugins that make Dreamcraft into the server it is today.

What I would like to see, is a formal competition to create a new spawn to commemorate the new map, 1.9's release.. and of course my return. Alongside my return, I further propose a Return of the Corps.

What this means, is that there would once more be 4 Elemental Corps, each centered around the elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth respectively.

In order to create some diversity, and also a common purpose among those of the same Corps, I think it would be awesome to have a perk in-game that relates to your respective Corps, much like a Faction.

For instance:
- Fire gets Fire and/or Lava resistance/immunity
- Water gets water breath (aka no drowning)
- Air gets fall damage resistance/immunity
- Earth gets an overall damage resistance (but of a lesser degree) to offset the general purpose buff they'd get.

In addition, whichever Corps from here on out wins the Spawn competition, gets to have their capital city double as Spawn.

Also, I would propose each of the Corps to create a thematic capital worthy of the name, to be able to parade which Corps is currently 'dominant', should its design be chosen to be Spawn.

As for spawn itself, it should obviously cater to the new player, but also allow for a central place to get started, get to know the staff, as well as basic shops to build bigger and better.

What do you guys think?

What I think the rules should be.

Hello everyone! Here is what I believe that the rules should be. Pls take a look especially if you're staff.
============================================================
1) NO griefing!
You should only place/break blocks if:
-You own the build.
-You have permission from the build's owner.
-You are building in agreement with friends.
-It is part of the natural terrain.
HERE-You are ONLY allowed to grief abandoned structures or your friends if they tell you to do so for a reason.

HERE-Punishments:
First Offense: 1 day in /jail or 2 day temporary ban, depending on severity of offense.
Second Offense: 1 week temporary ban.
Third Offense: 2 week temporary ban.
Fourth Offense: 1 mth temporary ban.
Fifth Offense: Permanent Ban.

2) NO spamming! It clogs up chat and is extremely annoying. Nobody likes a spammer.
This includes:
-Repeatedly saying the same thing.
-Excessive use of CAPS LOCK.
-Repeatedly using /me to talk instead of using normal chat.
-Long unnecessary sentences of random/repeating letters.
-Logging in and out repeatedly.
-Deliberately killing yourself repeatedly.
-Abuse of /afk.
-Repeatedly spamming a command which sends a message to other players, e.g. /money pay
-Using jarring chat colors and formatting repeatedly.

Punishments:
First Offense: Warning or 10 minute temporary mute, depending on severity of offense.
Second Offense: 1 hour temporary mute.
Third Offense: 1 day temporary ban.
Further Offenses: 2 day temporary ban.

3) NO harassing members and/or staff.
This harassment includes:
-Being around someone when they explicitly state that they don't want to be around you.
-Messaging someone repeatedly for any reason, both in private and in normal chat.
-Asking for items or teleports or player locations over and over again.
-Manipulative behavior to gain access to land and items.
-Telling staff how to do their job.
-Getting into text-fights in chat.
HERE-Being mean, rude, and offensive to a staff member.

Punishments:
First Offense: Warning and/or 10 minute temporary mute, depending on severity of offense.
ENTITY COLLISIONS:

Entity collisions were causing a majority of the lag on the server yesterday, so today we are testing a new configuration for preventing tons of entity collisions. If you notice anything strange, mention it to staff!

COMMANDS:

the command "/MONEY PAY" has been removed during the live-test economy event. To prevent mucking up the results of each day, paying other players is disabled, and will be re-enabled after the event is over. This command is obviously a big necessity for the economy to function, but right now it just gets in the way. It will be re-enabled on SUNDAY NIGHT, 7/26.

PROSPECTOR:

This was the second biggest job today! Having the basic stones included in the prospector payout was a test for day 1, and now we will see what the job will look like without having stone on its list. Some of the values were also toned down to align with some of the other jobs as well.
ARCHITECT:
This job is in a good place currently. We'll see how it pans out.

ARTISAN:
Added a few artisan-related items. Experience seemed decent for the day, but money was a bit lower than what we want it to be. Giving it one more day to see how it works out.
CHANGED:

FARMER:
Really overpowered. Money was high and experience was high. Also, the farming job should have a greater reliance on harvesting a field rather than planting it. To fix this for day 2, all numbers were halved to better align with other jobs. The placing category was gutted and now has melon/pumpkin stems. Related blocks were also added. You do not get REM from breaking melons or pumpkins as of yet.
RANCHER:
Not enough playtesting done to try any changes. Please check this job out!

SLAYER:

There are several ways this could go, for instance, one team could have to hold out for several minutes while the other has to assault, or there could be two fortresses vs. each other. We could do capture the flag or all out team deathmatch, whatever people think would be coolest. Regardless, it'd be fun to see staff vs. staff in addition to just regular players battling.

I think that TNT should be activated in this way, if possible to distinguish between the two.
Just bringing this to attention, not sure what will be done about it. No worries if nothing can be. -shrugs- I'll jsut mine the old fashion way.

Concerning Jobs - For the Consideration of All

Ladies, Gentlemen, Gentlepersons, and Unexplainable Entities of Dream)Craft,

Today I greet you with a modest proposal. No, not the one about babies, I'll have no part in that. Instead, this proposal involves the balancing out of jobs. I'm not here to claim that any job is overpowered, nor am I here to disparage other players from joining any jobs. The job system in itself is fun! I greatly enjoy it as I feel that it (alongside and coupled with McMMO and Iconomy) supplies a great system of rewards to players on this server, and really helps Dream)Craft stand out amongst an ocean of servers. Dream)Craft has kept me coming back for going on 5 years now. But that's another story that I'll wax nostalgic on that at a later date.
In most games, where players are able to choose jobs or classes or characters that have a differention of abilities, there needs to be a bit of balancing that goes on. The abilities that one job or class offers can easily dwarf another class. I don't necessarily feel like this is the Job System's downfall, but rather an area for improvement. I also understand that this server mod is probably no longer being worked on by the original author, however I do feel there are grounds for aforementioned improvement. As I said before, I do not feel there is an overpowered job class. Every job has its own difficulty to it. That being said I do feel like some jobs fall far behind others and some even farther that tweaking and buffing classes here and there wouldn't hurt. Yes, a bit of balancing can be done by choosing two jobs as opposed to just one. Yet I do not feel that one should feel forced to join a second class just to even out another.
From here I'll be focusing on my two jobs. One I view as my main focus and the other I view as something of a subjob. My main focus is my Builder job. I love to build. And I like to build with almost every material Minecraft has to offer. So the idea of being rewarded for doing a job that I chose is quite appealing. The Builder job both receives and loses Rem and Experience from placing and breaking a very modest list of materials. I'll write out this list in a moment but first one needs to understand that Minecraft does not have such a modest list of building materials. Instead its list is quite extensive. Here is an image illustrating all placeable blocks in Minecraft:

Now as extensive as this list is, I do not claim to want or need reward for everything on this list. Again this list is extensive and my proposal for adjustment is just as modest as the available material list for the Builder job. Which has been researched beyond completely and is as follows:

Basic List
Cobblestone
Wood - All Planks but Not Logs
Fence - Oak Only, No Cobblestone/Mossy Cobblestone Walls
Wool - All Colors
Stone - No Stone Brick
Glowstone
Sandstone, Chiseled Sandstone, & Smooth Sandstone
Glass - No Colored Glass or Panes
Brick
Lapis Block
Step - Cobblestone, Stone, Stone Brick, Nether Brick, Brick, Sandstone but Not Wood
Bookshelf
Wood Stairs - Oak Only
Cobblestone Stairs - No other Stone or Brick Stairs
Mossy Cobblestone
Diamond Block
Gold Block

Unlisted
Andesite and Its Polished Variant
Diorite and Its Polished Variant
Granite and Its Polished Variant

This is a small list but it excludes a hefty amount of building materials but includes one that is highly detrimental to this job. Stone. Stone is the reason why I had to take my second job, Miner. Miner is what has kept my rem in the green while still being a builder, however it does not supplant the experience lost, which, if I do want to level Builder, I need first enter an exhausting cycle of placing and breaking as many of my most rewarding blocks that I have until I am either out of the hole or until I'm at the next level. Thankfully we don't delevel, but that hole is literally a hole that I have to dig myself into simply because I have to mine. Its an essential mechanic of a vanilla game. You must mine. You could ask others to mine for you, but you should be able to help with that too.
I'll digress on that point and return to the point prior. I do not, at any point, propose every placeable block in the game to be added to Builder. I do hope that you will consider my modest list of proposed additions to this class. Most of which are sane.

Nether Brick - Including Fences and Stairs
Netherrack
Gates - All Varieties
Soul Sand
Endstone
Obsidian
Cobblestone Wall
Mossy Cobblestone wall
Carpet
Ice
Iron Blocks
Stone Brick - Including Stairs
Wood Stairs - Remaining Varieties
Wood Steps - All Varieties
Wood Fence - Remaining Varieties
Brick Stairs
Glass Panes
Colored Glass Panes
Colored Glass
Red Sand, Red Sandstone, Red Sandstone Stairs, and Red Sandstone Steps
Sandstone Stairs
Redstone Blocks
Redstone Lamps
Prismarine
Prismarine Blocks
Dark Prismarine
Sea Lanterns
Quartz Blocks - Steps, Stairs, and Pillars
Hardened Clay
Stained Clay - All Colors

In closing, I feel these additions (and the much needed removal of stone) would be a great step forward for the Builder job. This opens up the opportunity to scrutinize other jobs that have difficulty leveling; i.e. Weaponsmith, Enchanter, and Fisherman. Improving job growth among these classes will make them more fun, interesting, and open to exploration for other players. I leave this proposal for your consideration and in your good graces. Please reply in this thread with any questions or comments you may have.
-Thankfully my chests with my more valuable things were locked and a lot of my chest items were untouched probably because they assumed the chests were all locked. More than likely a hit and run deal.
