From experience, I can say that sadly, quick/easy content seems to pull in more viewers for some God forsaken reason... so, if I had to suggest anything, I'd suggest start doing livestreaming. I've seen your videos and I think you have a knack for commentary, so I think if you started doing stuff live people would enjoy watching you play whatever. Of course, you need to find something you can keep playing quickly, because any pauses in a livestream cause people to become a bit restless. But livestreaming brings in a good amount of people, especially if you set up a schedule for it. If you have some friends then bring them along with it, and if you have friends who aren't playing with you, ask them to moderate the chats for you, have them answer questions they know the answer to, and if not, they can just refer to you obviously.
The big thing about livestreaming is that it engages people as well, so they feel a bit more involved. Plus, as I said, a lot less work gets invested into it. For example, my Splatoon Livestreams usually get around 200 or 300 views, whereas my Splatistics videos and Dark Souls Let's Plays, which were edited a bit, have only about 20 views each.
So in the end... I would say livestreaming is a good idea. Plus, imo, it's pretty fun regardless. But that's just my 2 cents. Also, for a general suggestion, try picking up some new/obscure game and recording it, as people FLOCK to new stuff! If you're one of the first people to do a Let's Play for a game, people will find your videos first and start flocking to you. Of course.. the number one rule is to have fun with it, so always do what you enjoy, don't let other people influence what you do. I kind of let that get to me and so I haven't livestreamed in awhile... though I suppose school also affects that. Maybe I'll do one tomorrow... but I'm getting off topic.
